The use of these files are subject to the following:

  1. These shapefiles are to be used as a guide, ground truthing is required.

  2. There are four sets of shapefiles:

blk-#####-nad83.shp Includes harvest boundary, modified/normal line, holes, reserves, insular/peninsular
blk-#####h-nad83.shp Includes harvest boundary only
blk-#####-res-nad83.shp Includes reserve boundary only

blk-#####-ndpe-nad83.shp

 Includes residual peninsular/insular patches only

  1. Block maps and/or aerial photos are to be used in conjunction with these shapefiles.

  2. Your GPS must be set to NAD 83, Zone 15U projection

  3. It is your responsibility to ensure you have the most current file.  Shapefiles will be updated on the 1st workday of each month, after changes are approved by the MNR.

  4. If there are any discrepancies, the Crossroute Forest Management Plan Area of Concern Prescription, as may be amended, is correct.

  5. Any questions, contact your AbitibiBowater representative prior to laying out the boundary.

There have been problems in using Internet Explorer to download shapefiles.   
When you enter the password, you will get instructions for downloading files.
